For sale we have a charming little Old Derby bud vase dating to somewhere around 1805-1810.

The bud vase is of a bottle form and decorated in a variegated cobalt blue base colour with a front decorative with a hand painted panel depicting a country cottage in a garden surrounded by trees within an ornate gilded surround. The base carries the typical Old Derby marks for the early 19th century.

This lovely little bud vase is 4.25 inches (10.8cm) high and is in an excellent antique condition,although there is some wear to the gilding around the rim and the base carries a small glazing fault often found in pieces of this period.
