Early 19th.c. oak tavern settle c.1800. Four panel backrest with attractively shaped raised and fielded panels over a rope seat with loose seat cushion. Shaped arms with neat turned supports, turned front legs and feet. For extra strength the legs are joined with stretchers running side to side as well as front to back. Earlier repair to one arm, otherwise excellent condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and freshly recovered in a soft grey tweed.
