Elegant early 19th.c. mahogany press cupboard c.1815. Tall and narrow proportions and a simple uncluttered design with minimal decoration. Two door cupboard top with sliding shelves (which could be easily removed to make space for a hanging rail) over a useful four drawer base. Superb quality with solid mahogany door panels, sides and drawer fronts. Original locks, latches and brass trim where the doors meet. Spectacular and original brass knobs and attractive shaped detail at the foot. With a very slight bow the left hand door, otherwise excellent condition. Cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied. Splits into two pieces for ease of delivery.
