An early 18th.c. oak coffer with very unusual carved and stained front. The origins of this unique box are unknown but the radial half moon pattern along the top rail and the use of stain corresponds to antique furniture from Monmouth around the same period. Excellent colour and condition with original stiles, oak sides and oak panelled back.
