E. W. Godwin Aesthetic Movement Chair
E.W. Godwin designed Aesthetic Movement chair c1880-1900.
This design is noted in Susan Weber Soros's book The Secular Furniture of E.W. Godwin page 131 image 178. This is one of the classic designs by E.W. Godwin with the unusually shaped arms supports and comb shaped supports to the back rest and how they attach to the back top rail. There has been a minor repair long since on the left arm as you sit in it that cant be seen and its solid mahogany.
