Dresden Porcelain Monkey Band Figure Bagpipes
A sweet late 19th century Dresden porcelain monkey band figure of a bagpipe player. Finely painted dressed in a pink jacket with lilac breaches and patterned waistcoat wearing a black tricorn hat edged in gilt. Underglaze blue crossed swords marks to base and incised numerals.
He measures 13cm (5 1/8") high and 5.5cm (2 1/8") wide.
Condition: he is missing his left hand at the wrist and the bottom of his pipe. A little wear to the gilt on his hat. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
