An unusual Agateware Teapot with double spout and inscribed M. A. HEWITT. BOUSFIELD. ORTON. 1908.

The lid has some "nibbles" round the edges but the teapot is otherwise in excellent condition.

Orton is a village in the Lake District near where this teapot was found.

It measures 23 cm from spouts to handle, 17 cm deep and 14 cm high.

Agateware is formed by using multicoloured clays in often swirling patterns which resemble an agate stone. All items are sold with a 14 day money back guarantee.
