Substantial and beautifully made French solid oak double sided and fully adjustable artists studio easel by Hostellet Brevette JG of Paris, circa 1880.
The height is adjustable with the original crank handle, as is the angle or pitch for the canvas. The mechanisms all work very well and hold tight, as are the four original wooden castors.
Wonderful piece and in good working condition, having been lightly cleaned so as not to remove the paint marks from use, but if you would rather those are removed, no problem to do so for you.
Measuring:
79 inches or 201 cm height up to 115” or 292 cm height.
60 inches or 152 cm high canvas maximum height
24 3/4 inches or 63 cm wide
29 1/4 inches or 74 cm deep Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
