A very fine Copeland Parian ware bust of Summer, modelled after L.A. Malempre , with impressed marks. This beautiful young maiden stands at 30.5cm high and is quite striking. This bust is circa 1860 and is in excellent condition with no chips or restoration. There are three very minor firing cracks one at the base of the rossette in her hair and two more in her hair. All of these are from the manufacturing process as Parian ware was notorious for cracking in the firing process, larger and more significant cracks would be filled during manufacture.
