No Chips or cracks
INNOCENCE is a romantic portrayal by J.H. Foley of a cardinal virtue. The original life-size marble was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1839 the Statuary Porcelain reduced size figure was commissioned by the Art Union of London in 1846 as a result of the favourable reception given by the public to 'Narcissus' in the previous year. The Copeland figurine was introduced in 1847, exhibited at the Birmingham Exhibition in 1849 and at the Great Exhibition in 1851.
