A very attractive country made, early 19th century Dutch miniature chest of four pine lined drawers standing on scroll feet. This has a beautifully shaped front with a top which is shaped all the way round and has a moulded edge. The chest is painted and scrumbled all over to look like figured walnut, all in excellent condition with its original brass knobs, it has a lovely honey colour with a good waxed patina. This little chest was probably made by an apprentice to show off his skills or could have been used as a salesman’s sample. Sizes given including the projecting feet. 12”(31cms) wide, 9”(23cms) deep, 11”(28cms) high. Date circa 1820 I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of most of my stock. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if any items are of interest. Deliveries carried at as normal.
