Here we have a wonderful George II Elm coffer dated 1750. As you can see the chest has exceptional colour and patina. There is a single plank top with lovely grain and a thumb moulded edge. As it should be there are also single planks to the ends base, front and back. There are original hinges to the interior and a candle or herb box. The chest has stunning chip carving to the edge with a punched decoration. The original punched decoration is used in the date on the front of 1750. The chest is in fantastic retail condition and ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 41 inches wide 22.5 high and 15 deep.
