Known as 'Chevaux' or 'Chaldean'- Designed by John Armstrong and produced by Clarice Cliff for the 1934 Harrods and Art in Industry Exhibitions. Other notable contributors included Paul Nash, Graham Sutherland, Laura Knight, Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and Gordon Forsyth. Fully stamped and marked ' First Edition'.
Excellent condition with just a minute fleabite on the back, not seen from the front (see photo 3). The indent (photo 2) is a factory kiln resting point which has not been glazed over.
