Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to present for sale this Bizarre range banded Art Deco Clarice Cliff hand painted dinner plate which seems to be a variation of the Liberty Stripe range. The Bizarre backstamp was used between 1930 - 1936, the plate body has an impressed mark for 1931 dating this plate between 1931 & 1936.

Decoration: Hand painted on glaze. Honeyglaze.

Condition report:

Age related wear consistent with age. There are no chips or cracks, but there are some minor areas of paint wear. The usual firing faults often seen on Bizarre ware are evident, as Clarice Cliff 's studio were often given 'seconds' to decorate.
