The crocus pattern was one of Clarice Cliff’s signature designs and is so historically important that it is featured in Britain’s Victoria & Albert Museum collection.

There are several firing faults particularly to the rim where there are two rough areas, which is often common in Clarice Cliff wares, as Clarice Cliff and her 'Bizarre Girls' were given 'seconds' to decorate. There are no cracks or chips, overall a nice example and an ideal piece to start off a Clarice Cliff collection.
