Designed By Socrates A. Xippas, This Very Unusual Vertical Axis Fan Has Been Nicknamed "Bankers" Fan. Designed For Air Distribution Across A Horizontal Plane To Not Disturb Papers Or Money On A Desk Or Table Surface. This Is Another Wonderful Fan From The New England Area Collection. Restored Fans From This Collection Were Painted By A Local Professional Automotive Restorer. His Work Is "Top Shelf", And This Example Is No Exception. Gold Leaf Pinstripes And Lettering Appear To Have Been Applied By Hand, Almost A Lost Art Today. Brass Globe Was Polished At Time Of Restoration And Has Developed A Nice Rich Patina Matching The Gold Lettering Perfectly. Brass Globe Does Have 2 Small Breaks As Pictured. Operating Wonderful On 3 Distinct Speeds, It Spreads A Wonderful Breeze. Excellent Example!
