Christopher Dresser Arts and Crafts Anglo Japanese Silvered Tea Kettle.

A superb Dr Christopher Dresser silver plated tea kettle c1880.

A wonderful futuristic geometric design with hemisperical body and typical Japanesque style ebony carrying handle. The quality is superb and the style epitomises late Victorian avant-garde Anglo Japanese design which clearly reflects Dresser's revolutionary philosophy.

The kettle is unusually stamped with the Waring & Gillow retail stamp whom sold both silver wares alongside their trademark furnishings range.

Condition: In excellent original condition with no wear to the silver plate.

Date: Circa 1900.

Markings: Stamped with Waring & Gillow Ltd retail mark.
