A handsome Art Deco silver plated Cocktail Shaker by top quality silversmith Christofle as part of their Gallia range in the Ondulations design.

This design was created for the luxury liner SS Normandie by the designer Luc Lanel. This grand Ocean liner's first class passenger spaces were decorated in the trendiest Art Deco style and filled with luxuries the bars filled with these smart Art Deco Cocktail Shakers.

Fully marked on the underside Gallia, together with the Chess O/C (ORFÈVRERIE CHRISTOFLE) mark and the Rooster mark. Dating to c.1935. Excellent condition measuring 10" tall x 3 1/2" in diameter.
