Chippendale Style Open Bookcase
Circa 1900. A Chippendale style carved mahogany open bookcase. Solid top with foliate carved fore-edge and shaped frieze, three separate sections each with three adjustable solid mahogany shelves. The inside of the bookcase is polished (a sign of quality). To the base there is a dragooned carved apron. The whole piece rests on four quality squat cabriole legs with foliate carving to the knees and the quarter blocks, finishing on a ball and claw foot.
