A very decorative 18th.century Chinese style red lacquered console/side table. The top decorated with Chinese characters, pagodas, birds, deer, trees and foliage in raised lacquer with gold and silver leaf. The 3 mahogany lined drawers with further Chinoiserie decoration and the whole standing on 8 turned and tapered legs with curved "X" shaped stretchers and Queen Anne style feet. This stunning console table benefits from having a protective plate glass top (not shown). The condition is good with various signs of wear to the feet commensurate with age and use (see photos).
