This is a stunning Chinese lacquered elm bench dating from around 1890. The bench has a fret and foliate panelled back which still retains much of its original red lacquer and is raised on square section legs, joined by stretchers and supported by scroll carved brackets. The bench is is superb condition and measures 88cm high, 176cm long and 44cm deep. The seat is 50cm high.
