Chinese Porcelain Reticulated Famille Verte LargeVase
An Unusual and Large Chinese Porcelain Reticulated and Double-Walled Vase.
The base with a six character zhuanshu mark for Kangxi, but the piece is later and dates to the late 19th Century, Qing Dynasty.
A very interesting vase, the globular base leading up to a tall tapering neck. The outer surface profusely pierced or 'reticulated' and adorned in high relief with numerous figures and immortals. The neck with a moulded, fierce five-clawed dragon. The whole hand-painted in famille verte style enamels.
The pierced surface covers an inner porcelain chamber meaning the vase is effectively 'double-walled' and therefore useable in the traditional sense. The inner chamber is sound, with further photographs available, if desired.
An impressive piece. Email or call for any further information on this item. We give great attention to each and every item we select and offer for sale, priding ourselves on the accuracy of our descriptions and research. We are very happy to provide complete and exacting condition reports (together with further photographs, where necessary) and encourage buyers to request this information prior to purchase.
Accepted payment methods are via paypal, bank transfer, personal cheque or cash.
Viewing of any item in person, prior to purchase, is always welcomed by appointment.
