Elegant, classic Chinese 'kitchen Ming' vase/storage jar with underglaze blue characters beneath a pale, thick celadon type glaze. Probably 16th/17th Century with wonderful hand painted calligraphy. The celadon is mottled from the firing, the rim is smear-glazed from stacking during firing, the base is worn, consistent with age.
Condition: condition almost perfect for age, small hair line and age marks.
Size: height 21cm, diameter 16 cm
