Chinese rich green celadon vase. Baluster shape with intricate scrolling lotus blossoms and foliage carved into the central body and carved plantains surrounding the base. There is a deep decorative bronze collar around the rim - probably added later. Heavy crackle and craquelure. Dating to 13/14th Century ie Yuan or Early Ming.
Condition: Very good for age. Heavy crackle to glaze with discoloration in places. Rubbing to glaze at shoulder. Visible hairlines to shoulder and near base - not immediately obvious due to amount of crackle. The vase remains in a very strong and solid condition.
Size: height 32.5 cm. Weight 4.9 kg
