A very pretty Chelsea porcelain shaped dessert plate, painted very finely with delicate floral sprays and sprigs with a caterpillar and ladybird, the decoration in typical style in a rich pastel palette. A red brown trim runs just inside the rim. Red anchor mark to the back, and stilt marks, c.1753-1758.

It measures just over 24cm (9 1/2") wide and 3.2cm (1 1/4") high.

Condition is very good with no damage or restoration. Surface wear is minimal, really just very minor to the brown trim. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
