A small Caughley porcelain tart pan printed with the Fisherman pattern. These pans are sometimes called patty pans and were used to make tarts of all types. Due to the nature of their role they are now very rare to come across. S mark and x tally mark, c.1780-1790.

Reference: Caughley & Worcester Porcelains by Godden, pages 35, 107 and plate 184.

It measures 11.2cm (4 3/8") wide and 3.8cm (1 1/2") high.

Condition is excellent with no damage or restoration and minimal handling wear. We are now taking a few days off for Christmas, back on the 5th of January. Wishing all our customers a very Happy Christmas!!
