A very elegant carved walnut stool in the Regency style dating from the early 20th Century. This antique stool stands on cabriole legs, has a carved, shaped apron and retains its original wool needlework cover. The condition is good, there is evidence of historic woodworm - minor, but treated again for peace of mind. The has been some earlier restoration to the legs, this has been extremely well done and is very difficult to detect. The colours in the needlework are bright and clear and the cover is in very good condition. The stool is solid and sturdy with no wobbles. A super stool to place in any room, the lovely tones of predominantly blues and greens with touches of red would blend with most colour schemes.
