Small late 19th.c. carved oak coffer c.1880. Good quality copy of a 16th.c. six plank chest. Constructed from six solid oak boards with heavy iron strap hinges. Decorative front carved with a design featuring two Tudor roses, notched detail to the edges and an attractive pointed arch cutaway at the sides. Easily strong enough to double as a useful little window seat or hall bench with storage. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Dimensions: width 41″, depth 15″, height 23″.
