Late 19th.c. oriental brass bound ‘campaign’ chest c.1880 in solid camphorwood. As a pest resistant and fragrant timber camphor was ideal for use in campaign and travel antique furniture as it protected the contents whilst in passage. Excellent colour and condition restored and polished in our workshops.
