Campaign Teak Writing Slope Correspondence Box
C1870 a fine Anglo-Indian craftsman built writing slope/correspondence teak box. Lovely external patina with brass inlay and strapping. There is a shrinkage crack to the left front corner commensurate with age and use, however this does not detract from the gorgeous over all aesthetics. Internally, the felt has been replaced. Internal secret drawers, Ebony ruler and later 19th century ink bottle. Original key and working lock.
Length 15”(38cm) width 9.5”(24cm) height 5” h(13cm)
