We offer for sale this lovely cat portrait in pastels by the Gloucestershire artist Catherine A. Sharpley, who has signed the pastel in the lower right hand corner and dated it 02. The pastel depicts two lovely cats, a tabby and a tabby and white, called Tom and Jerry. It is a well known fact that cats are very difficult to draw or paint, particularly, to do so well!

Catherine Sharpley lives in Gloucestershire and works in both oils and pastels. She specialises in animal portraits, although also paints landscapes and human portraits. She comes from a long line of artists and studied in Florence under Signorina Simi. She has been a professional artist since the mid 1970s.

The pastel has been double mounted in two tone to complement and is framed in a 1 1/8" mottled, silver frame to suit. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
