A splendid pedestal desk of generous proportions in the Queen Anne style. Very well constructed in walnut , with attractive burr walnut veneers and mahogany drawer linings. With a lovely concave central section. The top is fitted with a sumptuous black leather writing surface decorated with blind and gilt tooling. The surrounds are decorated with crisply carved gadrooning. There is an arrangement of 7 drawers all fitted with their original solid brass swan-neck handles drawers are lockable and keys are supplied. The whole desk stands on squat cabriole legs with carved shell motifs to the knees. It is finished to the rear so could be free standing within a room if desired. We have had this desk sympathetically repolished in our workshops to a very high standard. It is now offered for sale in excellent overall condition, with a lovely colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home or office.
