Walnut bookcase having rectangular top with canted corner with ribbon tied fruiting laurel and ovolo and foliate moulded border edges above twin glazed rectangular panelled doors opening to reveal two ajustable shelves, the canted corner blocks with applied rectangular florette small mounts above scrolling putto terms with interlaced foliate terminals and corresponding inverted foliate strap work bracket mounts, raised on a plinth base, the top of the right door stamped 'GILLOW(Gillows of Lancaster)
