Buccheri Vase by Gio Ponti
Exceptionally rare offering. Bucchero Vase designed by Gio Ponti and produced by the great Artisan Carlo Alberto Rossi of the 190's.
The bucchero is a special clay, from the Etruscan times, was dried in open air and ,after baked in oven at very high temperature, which removes oxygen and transformed clay into ferrous-oxide which is a "paste" integrally black-glossy-thin.
They were last shown at IX Triennale di Milano 1951.
