This beautiful bronze sculpture of a standing female nude figure was made by Einar Luterkort, a well-known and prominent Swedish sculptor of the early to mid- 20th Century. He was born in Stockholm in 1905, and by the late 1920’s was already established as a talented and prolific sculptor, with affiliations to several Art Institutes and Academies. The bronze is signed and dated 1949, with an F E Petterson foundry stamp on the base. It measures 4 ½ in – 11.4 cm wide, 3 in – 7.6 cm deep and 13 ½ in – 34.3 cm in height.
