We are offering this ornate Victorian Brass Desk stand or Standish, which is heavily embossed with a foliate design. It stands on four splayed feet and has two ornate handles. The inkwells are fixed and also in brass. Each of the hinged lids have an ornate knop and are slightly domed.

There are two maker's marks on the base and one of each inkwell lid, which comprise a diamond with a bow or crescent with an arrow through it. We have researched this mark and found it listed on the oldcopper.org site as an unknown maker.
