A wonderful ebonised Black Forest ink stand with two carved wooden owls with original glass eyes. As can be seen in the photos, the ink stand is in excellent condition with no splits or cracks. The heads of the owls lift to reveal the two inkwells. The black liners are new replacements and fit perfectly. The original hinges to the heads are in great condition with no play. The original celluloid calendar has all numbers, week days, and months. The inkstand measures 19.0 x 10.4 cm at the base and has a height of 11 cm.
