Bow-Front Georgian Chest of Drawers
A bow-front chest of drawers dating to the Georgian period, circa 1830. This is in mahogany and has been sympathetically restored and french-polished. The pollisher has brought out the attractive and rich patina of the wood.
There is inlay and boxwood/ebony stringing. It is of a useful size with nice proportions. There is some old dead woodworm on the back panel that has absolutely no effect on the structural integrity of the item.The drawers run smoothly and are dovetail constructed with pine-linings they have decorative brass handles and backplates. A high quality antique that is ready to be placed into any home.
