Black lacquered French Empire commode chest
Lovely early c19th French Empire black lacquered commode or chest of drawers .
The finish is good to the whole commode and with the original brass inlaid drawer fronts and ( later added ) brass drawer pulls, this is a great decorative antique too.
Good storage with the three full width drawers, all in solid oak and running smoothly.
The commode has fluted and columns to the front ends and a panelled side, standing on square block feet.
Measuring:
91cm or 36” high
124cm or 49” wide
59cm or 23 1/4” deep
Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
