This is a fabulous model designed in the early 1930s and called the GECoPHONE and made by GEC. It was one of the first models to incorporate the bell inside the telephone without the need for a separate bell set. This has been stripped down cleaned and polished and reassembled. As you can this is in wonderful is total original internally as well. I had some new old stock round braided handset cords and so it is perfect. It has a genuine GPO No12 dial with its original enamel number dial face. I have fitted an electronic microphone to bring the speech quality up to modern standards and it has a GPO specification round plastic line in cord with a UK telephone socket. This telephone has been tested on a line simulator and the dial speed and make and break contacts set up correctly. It has then been tested on a BT line and will dial out and receive perfectly. I can fit a dial label as the one in the picture with your telephone number or a GPO style if preferred. Please state what you require in the “Your notice to us “ on check out.
