ANTIQUE BAVARIAN BLACK FOREST FIGURATIVE HAND CARVED TREEN NUT CRACKERS, c 1900-1910.

A SUPERB WELL CARVED EXAMPLE WITH REAL CHARACTER!....ONE'S THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN BROUGHT BACK FROM THE BAVARIAN BLACK FOREST REGION.....PROBABLY AS A SOUVENIR!.....THE HEAD BEING VERY WELL DETAILED CARVED WITH WHAT LOOKS LIKE A EUROPEAN SYTYE HAT ON HIS HEAD.....THE OPENING ACTION IS VERY GOOD & SECURE....THE MOUTH SIZE OPENING WOULD HAVE BEEN FOR CRACKING HAZELNUTS ....MEASURING 21.6 CM LONG CLOSED.....EXCELLENT CONDITION....FREE FROM ANY DAMAGE OR REPAIRS. MAY HAVE ONE WOODWORM HOLE.
