A substantial and well conceived pot by the British studio potter, Bernard Rooke.

Crafted from stoneware, and using a variety of techniques, this piece contrasts the organic and the geometric to great effect. Hugely tactile with applied and incised abstract designs in high relief this piece works well both as a vase or purely as a piece of ceramic sculpture.

Impressed 'Rooke' seal to the side.

Date - circa 1975.

A good example of this potter's work and a very worthwhile addition to any studio pottery collection.
