A curious lidded pot fashioned from a section of bamboo with owners name 'James Briggs' carefully scribed to the side. This could well be the work of a sailor using exotic foreign materials and might have been intended as a tobacco pot. Well patinated with minor age crack to the lid. early 19th century. 13.5 cm tall, 11 cm wide. Please contact me for postage information. Postage to mainland UK is often free. Mark
