Baleen Stay Busk
An exceptional of piece of nautical folk art, the thin baleen strip is profusely carved with roundels, ships, a house, anchor and flowers with each scratch carved portion being coloured in red, white and blue. Stay busks were inserted into a woman’s corset and were often presented as a love token. 33 cm long
