Attractive Antique Walnut Chest on Stand
A attractive antique walnut chest on stand with brushing slide circa 1920. This good quality oak lined walnut chest on stand has a shaped cornice which sits over a bow shaped burr walnut frieze which contains a secret drawer. Below this are graduated and crossbanded oak lined drawers with herringbone inlaid and engraved brass back-plate handles and escutcheons. The top sits on a cabriole legged with shell on the knee base containing a pull out brushing slide and shaped knee hole. This antique chest on stand is very good quality which is fully restored using traditional methods and a very practical piece of antique furniture for most rooms in the house.
