Large English Art Nouveau or Arts & Crafts walnut sideboard by the acclaimed cabinet makers Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple c.1900. In two pieces, with a display cabinet top with a flared cornice raised on a gallery with shaped supports. Glazed cupboards to the either side and a bevelled mirror panel to the centre, note the pierced heart motifs to each side and the handblown bullseye glass panes. Two large drawers over a four door cupboard base, the right hand cupboard includes a slide-out rotating lazy susan designed to hold five wine bottles. Carved linen fold door panels, exceptional and original copper strap hinges and handles throughout which also feature heart motifs. Stamped S&P B to the locks. Raised on shaped square bracket feet. Excellent original colour and condition, simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
