Arts & Crafts Quartered Oak Bookcase Bureau c1900

We have for sale a quite stunning and rather imposing arts and crafts oak bureau bookcase dating from somewhere around 1900 to 1910.
This very striking bookcase bureau is constructed from quartered oak and consists of an upper shelf divided in to three sections over a central drop leaf bureau over a drawer flanked on either side by two shelves all over two central shelves and flanked by two further cupboards. The bureau is beautifully finished with lovely brass arts and crafts handles and strapping. Opening the bureau reveals an interior consisting of eight 8 cubbyholes
This bureau is very well made, from the quartered and solid oak back panels, something that was pretty much the reserve of the highest quality manufacturers. This piece of furniture is perfect for a study or library, but would also looks superb as decorative piece of furniture in a living room.
The bureau bookcase is approximately 43 inches (109cm) wide, 53 inches (134.5cm) high and 12.75 inches (32.4cm) deep. The bureau bookcase is in a very good original condition other than some ink staining to the interior around the space for the ink bottle and the pen holder.
