Rare Arts & Crafts oak gong with motto reading "Eat, drink and be merry" on an inset copper panel. The brass gong is made in Burma as so many were and is tied on with an old brown shoelace so the sound is soft when struck.
Height 42cms. Width at top 30cms. Depth at feet 13cms.
Offered in good original condition with just slight shrinkage between cornice and gong. Very good mend to stem of beater. PLEASE NOTE, RED HOUSE ANTIQUES HAS NOW RETIRED.
