Late 19th.c Arts and Crafts double chair back settee c.1880. With an ebonised frame, turned spindles, legs and stretchers and a rush seat it is highly reminiscent of William Morris’s celebrated Sussex chairs. Some wear and repairs to the rushing and missing the ebonised strip to the left hand side of the seat. Otherwise excellent original condition.
