This is an Arts & Crafts Wardrobe and chest of drawers by Maple & Co of London c1880-1900. A great pair and rare to find them still together with the wardrobe being rare in its on right having a double row of drawers to its base.

The wardrobe is raise on a plinth base with two short over one long drawer, a rare configuration and very practical. It has a single door which hinges on the right hand side with small fielded panels either side of the main door and long panels above with carved foliate panels to the upper panels. It also has a large and imposing corncice. This piece splits into the upper corncie, the door comes off, the main carcus and the drawer section for travelling. The main door retains its original key.

The chest of drawers is also raised on a plinth base with two short over three long drawers. Both piece have line moulding carving to the drawers and upright front sections has decoration.
